Hey guys Autumn is finally here and now I have to sadly put away my girly pastel clothes and embark on the new darker wardrobe. I’ve been admiring Meadham Kirchhoff AW13 collection since the beginning of the year and I’ve been trying to gather a few pieces up for the Fall. I’ve searched high and low for anything with Sailor Stripes, Gingham prints, Grey Pin-Striped Shirts, Metallic Brocaded Coats, Victorian Blouses. The best place is to rummage around in the charity shops, but the key is patience and having the right thinking cap on! Its easy to get distracted by that Pink Cashmere in all its soft glory. Try to avoid the high street shops, you will only get sucked into this annoying hipster trend. This AW13 collection isn’t my ultimate favourite, but I think its great for the darker months. I love every show Ben and Ed create and you can see all the effort and hard work really pays off. If your like myself and your huge fan but your poor and you cant afford to buy any of their pieces, your next best bet is to just try and DIY your own. I’ll be trying to remake a few pieces this Autumn and maybe it’ll inspire you to do so too. What I really admire about this collection is the detailing, the laser cut latex pieces, the lace trims and such. I love the fact that looking on the close up photos over at Vogue, you can look for hours at the collection and discover bits about the outfits you’d never spotted before. Its just like analysing a painting, thats what I love about Meadham Kirchhoff their fashion is a work of Art.
Lots of love,
