Lush Vegan Shopping Haul

Hey guys, this post is long over due, but when I went to the Lush Christmas event in Swansea, we were given a Goodie bag with some amazing things in it. On the night I didn't receive one, which I was disappointed with, but then Lush were on the case and made sure I got one the next day. It was so kind of them to do so. What I got in my bag was the Stars Soap, Fighting Animal Testing Badge, Bubbly Shower Gel, Sample of the Charity Pot Moisturiser and the Snow Man Shower Jelly. The rest of the products  I had previously purchased a couple of weeks before when I got my student loan through. I can't get enough of Lush's products because most of Vegan Friendly and aren't full with nasty chemicals e.t.c. My skin never reacts to any of their ingredients and that's why you can always trust and rely on them.

Before I went to the event I purchased a few of my favourite items such as the Sympathy for Skin, which came in a big tub, that's a perfect moisturiser for all over the body. I mainly use it on my face because its soothing. I purchased the Veganese Hair Conditioner, not only for Vegans. Thought that pun was quite funny... I use their Aromaco deodorant bar sometimes which lasts all day and prevents odours which is fantastic. I never really sweat or tend to smell as a Vegan, what a bonus there!

For spots that I occasionally get sometimes, not often but near the time of the month, one will pop up. I tend to dab a bit of Grease Lighting on it and it goes within a couple of days, a great product there. Also, when you want a lovely pamper night, Rosy Cheeks is now my favourite face mask from Lush. It used to be their Mask of Magnamity but that had honey in it, not very Vegan friendly...

Hope this has helped you in finding out some of the good Vegan products from Lush, remember to always ask and look at the labels. They tend to sneak in milk and honey sometimes...

Lots of love,

Charlotte

Vevolution

Hey guys, on Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to Vevolution in London, whilst representing Happy Cow, whom I've been working for the past couple of months. The event started at 10am so that meant a really early train to London to be able to get there on time. I woke up about 2am, got the 4am train, which was full of drunks coming back from town, thankfully they got off at Cardiff. I slept for most of the journey, spread out on the train seats. I managed to get the tube without any difficulties and arrive at the event about an hour before. I was kind of lost but thankfully a fellow Vegan realised I was off to the event and helped me find the way. When I got there everyone was so busy setting up that I didn't really know where to go and I didn't know anyone to talk to. It was quite awkward, but I headed upstairs the hall and started putting out Happy Cow stickers on everyone's chair. Over 500 people were supposed to attend the event, not sure how many turned up but it was busy for sure!

Another girl who was handing out Vegan Magazines on each seat, smiled at me and we started talking and headed over to get free breakfast, which was over night oats. But it was bloody delicious! I sat with her, she was a volunteer at the event and couldn't chat for long. The Vegans started to gather and it kicked off pretty quickly. Youtuber Plant Based News was up first and gave a very informative speech about the rise in Veganism. At this point I realised how many people I admire from Youtube were in the very same room! I tried to continue my inner crazy fan girl side, I spotted Vegan Geezer and Hench Herbivore. Unfortunately my social anxiety took over me and I didn't go up and talk to them, I kind of admired from a far. Isn't this annoying? When will I possibly ever meet them again!?

I didn't manage to get lunch so I was snacking on the contents of my goody bag all day. I think they only took cash and I had cards on me, damn it. Sorry about the bad quality of photos, I only took my phone with my and not my other camera because it was heavy to carry. Anyways the day went so fast and I was honestly so inspired, I felt like I was dreaming. As a new Vegan it makes you think twice and that you should try to use Social Media and become part of the Activism side to Veganism. You never know who you could influence to become Vegan.

Swansea Lush Christmas Blog Event 2016

charlotte clothier, lush, swansea, welshfitnessblogger

Hey guys, last night I attended Lush Swansea's Christmas Blogger Event in town. I've been waiting for one for such a long time, I used to attend the Cardiff ones, but this one is just on the doorstep, thank god! We were given quicks introduction to the Christmas products by the lovely Lush lady and we all had a go at slapping the Santa's belly, it was hilarious.
Afterwards, we had the chance to make some Red Ruby Slipper Bubble Bars, unfortunately I don't have a bath. However, I managed to use it as a facial cleanser, as well as managing to get red glitter all over my face. Thankfully these Bubble Bars are Vegan. They have a slight Christmas Spicy smell to them, which makes you feel really Autumny ( if thats even a word)  Everyone was making a Red Slipper but I decided to make a heart shape because why not?

We were given lots of little demos and I got distracted and wanted to go around and touch and smell all of the new Christmas products. We had the chance to buy little bits and bobs if we fancied but I had done a Lush Haul the week before when the student loan rolled in, so I was stocked up! One of the main things that was repeated throughout the whole event was the excitement of Lush and its new self-preserving products. Which is great for Lush because of it use of fresh ingredients and the competitive high street products. Its great to know that their products are lasting longer.  It's my number one go to store for Vegan products and I excited to share with you my haul from last week, unfortunately I didn't get a goody bag from Lush, which they normally give out to bloggers. Ah well, I had a great time having fun and chatting away to the staff.

lots of love,

Charlotte

My First Fitness Blogger Event

female personal trainer, cardiff fitness, fitness blogger, welsh fitness blogger, charlotte clothier, the gym, anna reich personal trainer, anna reich, fitness event

Hey guys, I went to my first fitness blogger event yesterday hosted by the lovely personal trainer Anna Reich. She kindly found my Twitter and invited me to come along to her grand opening of her new gym, that's in her front room! Can you believe it, in this beautiful house the living room is converted into a gym. It's such a fantastic idea and allows Anna to work with her clients on a personal level, the house gives it such a relaxed feel that sometimes people don't get when they walk into gyms. I know for one that gyms can be intimidating, especially to women. You always feel like your being stared at, so this was such an amazing idea to come up with. Anna asked a few bloggers to come along for some bubbly and to look at the place. The gym is beautifully colour co-ordinated with reds, blacks and greys with white flooring which gives it a bright and vibrant place to work out.
I arrived really early and spoke to Anna for a while before the other guests arrived. She was actually getting ready to be live on S4C at 7pm which was amazing.

It was hard not to go ahead and work out, I've never been around gym equipment and socialised, it was tempting. Anna was such a lovely person to talk to, really friendly and had such a bubbly personality. She offers one-on-one personal training sessions and will help you achieve your goals. If your in the Cardiff area and lack motivation to work out and your just not happy about your body, Anna is the one to go to. Her prices are very reasonable as well and to be honest it was like talking to close friend last night, she has such positive and inspiring aura about her. Hey guys, I thought I'd let you know what I take to the Gym with me on a daily basis. It's something that I enjoy reading and seeing what other people carry in their bags. I don't know why but its always fascinating and sometimes reminds me that, hey why didn't I think of carrying around that... So here's is a quick post about whats in my gym bag. The first thing is an Umbrella, no matter where you are in Wales you will always need one. Especially with the strong winds living by the Sea, they easily break. Thanks to Rooi for supplying me this beautiful Geometric Print Umbrella that I can safely say, I haven't used yet because its been unusually lovely weather. Secondly with all of the exercising, sometimes I can get dry lips from a bit of dehydration so its always good to keep The Little Blue Tin, lip balm with you, its great because all Superdrug's own brands are mostly Vegan and Cruelty Free. I also carry around  their Vitamin E Moisturiser, Deodorant Spray and Hand Sanitiser. One thing that I always make sure I bring with me and that is fully charged the night before is my iPod. A work out is not the same without your motivating music playing in your ears. Or when your battery goes dead. Keeping your iPod in your bag is a must for smashing a good work out. Also having a good bag to carry all of this stuff in is necessary too. I bought one last year from Gymshark, and only this year I realised it turns into a rucksack too, it carries so much weight. All of my fresh food shopping, I've taken it on really long journeys. Its the best, so I highly recommend investing in a good gym bag.

Carrying around a Notebook is always handy, you can look back over notes of motivation to yourself, or check out goals you want to achieve. They are always really good to have in your bag. Typing stuff into a phone sometimes isn't the same as putting pen to paper, can anyone else relate? A few months back I discovered Batiste which is a dry shampoo company and a biggest life saver! After a sweaty workout sometimes its nice to just quickly spray your barnet with this and its Vegan too which is even more awesome! One thing that I make sure I take with me as well is Make up, I know its stupid to wear make up in a workout, but come on what girl strips it all of in public? I don't want people seeing my tomato faced self... When I went Vegan finding 100% affordable Vegan make up was the hardest thing, so correct me if I'm wrong but I bought GOSH products and B by Superdrug. If these aren't Vegan let me know asap!

Two products left that I bought last year was the Pink Smart Shaker and the Flip Belt, both that are a necessity when heading to the gym. Its extremely important to keep on drinking water throughout  your workout, and this doesn't mean heading over to the fountain and taking sips. Actually replenish your lost fluids properly! Also the Flip Belt that I bought actually took so long to arrive, but once it did it saved my workouts. No more putting your iPod in your Bra or in your yoga pants, this belt is the best thing created.

So I hope this post helps you to think about what you take to the Gym and perhaps inspires you to buy some Vegan and Cruelty Free products.

Lots of love,

Charlotte
