LITTLE MISTRESS

CREAM FLORAL APPLIQUE HALTER NECK MAXI DRESS- LITTLE MISTRESS*
CHANDELIER EARRINGS- H&M

Hey everyone, I thought I'd introduce this little number to you, its a beautiful Cream Floral Halter Neck  Dress from Little Mistress. The delivery was so fast and I managed to get it on time to wear for a lovely sunny day. Its quite formal and would look lovely worn to a Wedding or anything special occasion. But if your like me and you don't get invited to many, you find yourself floating about feeling like a Princess all day. The sun made the little flowers on the Chest Corset shimmer in the photos and it looked really magical. I have to admit though I am only just 5'0 and the length was about 2 inches to long even in my highest heels. Its a bit of a problem when trying to pull off long skirts or Maxi Dresses, I end up being worried whether they don't suit me or I look shorter, but fear not that isn't going to stop me from wearing this precious piece! I think Little Mistress has lots of other gorgeous evening dresses such as this one and this one. I wish I had more bracelets to go with this outfit, and perhaps a lovely sparkly clutch but I really skimp on those tiny details,  any donations perhaps? The soundtrack I had playing in my head all day was Georges Delerue, Theme de Camille, quite enchanting yet melancholic at the same time. Which I think goes perfectly with the mood of the photos. Being beautiful on the outside and being happy in the summer weather, but deep down your heartbroken.

Lots of love,
Charlotte x

HER SOUL BELONGS TO THE SEA

WHITE HAT- THRIFTED| SAILOR TOP- TOPSHOP,EBAY| PUMA BLUE PLAYSUIT*- ASOS| BLUE SUNGLASSES*- CHICWISH| WHITE FRILLY SOCKS- TOPSHOP| RED SATCHEL- THRIFTED| BLACK MARY JANE HEELS- MARKET| BOW PIN- DIY

Hey everyone, here is an outfit I put together for the PUMA competition called Worn My Way. The competition is closed now, but this was my entry its not your typical sporty outfit you would expect from Puma Clothing. I layered the Blue Playsuit on top of a Sailor Collared Blouse that I found on Ebay ages ago, I didn't really like how the playsuit was just made with shoe laces for the shoulder straps, so I hid it with the beautiful collar. I was inspired by Lolita's outfit from the movie, you can see what I'm talking about here. I added a Black Pin bow that I made myself to add more playfulness to the outfit, then I found my white straw hat which adds a much more vintage feel. The playsuit itself really didn't fit me, I think I am going to sell it so if your interested just email me or leave a comment. Its a size 10 but its quite baggy as I'm wee sized. But I managed to pull it off I think by tucking bits in and adding a belt. You can buy it on ASOS here there is only one size left which is funny enough a 10. Anyway wish my luck with the competition!

Lots of Love,
Charlotte x

ANOTHER GENERATION FIGHTING FOR ATTENTION

Hey lovelies sorry I haven't blogged in a week, but hasn't the weather been so fantastic! This summer has been yet again filled with magic and nostalgia. I've discovered my own music tastes, instead of being influenced by someone else's. Its so easy to loose yourself to another person and its a beautiful moment when for so long you have lost yourself and been suffocated by someone, to finally let go and fully blossom back to the precious flower you used to be, is an overwhelming feeling.

This little photo shoot I quickly put together was inspired by the song Beauty Queen by Foxes. I seem to be reminiscing so much about my childhood recently as I am growing older and maturer, and long for that innocence and naivty again. I have always been interested in the whole idea of Beauty Pageants since my Mother entered me into a few when I was a child.. I mainly love the dresses, all laced with pink frills and peach satin fabrics. I prefer the older pageants and not the new ones that you see on TV where the children are orange. I guess remembering the things as a young child with my mother perhaps makes me feel closer to her. However I've always been obsessed with girly parties, sleepovers, proms, weddings, christenings, anything that includes big overly decorated cakes, and and balloon arched ways. I didn't go to my prom because I knew it would be a disappointment. I have the perfect image in my head of what a prom should be like, and I knew nothing could live up to that. Perhaps something like the one from the Virgin Suicides, where nobody has to wear fake nails, short dresses, stupidly high heels or caked in make up. So now I just like to dream of being prom queen lives on, and I collect and make plastic tiara's. I wonder if any of you still think your a hopelessly romantic 16 year old girl? I definitely don't feel like I am turning twenty one in September.

Lots of love,
Charlotte x

VERY TRULY YOURS

DIY Floral Crown| Peach Night Gown- Thrifted| Ballet Pumps- Primark| Angel Necklace- Topshop

Hey everyone, I am so happy to blog about this nightie dress I found in a charity shop the other day for only three pounds. As you can already tell by the hot weather we are in the midst of a summer heatwave. Which makes me not want to wear anything too heavy on my skin, I am getting to the point where I don't even want to wear underwear or make up! I wish we could just all bathe in ponds and streams like little faeries drinking strawberry milkshakes. But in actual fact I do love the sun but the heat can be a bit too much for such a pale skin lady like myself, I burn so easily so I'd rather stay in the shade under a lace parasol. Theres not really much else to say about my outfit its pretty simple, I have noticed though I don't wear a lot of jewellery or accessories anymore, and if I do it would be something basic like a floral crown or a small necklace. I find bracelets and too much jewellery quite restrictive to my body, and sometimes they can get in the way of things. Perhaps I am just a born faery and would rather a daisy chain bracelet or an acorn necklace haha. I will try and take photos of the things I have found in thrift shops I always forget to do so. I've mainly just had a huge desire for any light coloured lingerie, or floaty night gowns and perhaps the odd lace doily. Hope your all having a beautiful day and enjoying lots of ice cream!

Lots of Love,
Charlotte x

UNDERNEATH THE WILLOW TREE

LOOKBOOK1000

Hey everyone, there isn't really much to say about this outfit, I bought it from a shop and it originally had really bad tan stains all on the inside and the zip was broken so I got it for £10 instead of £30. Thats one of the main reasons why I don't try and wear tan anymore it ruins all the lovely white clothes, so now I'm sticking to my pale milk skin instead. I think I actually glow in the sunlight during these hot summery days, I am actually quite afraid of burning after a bad experience as a child. Anyway I found a little pink willow tree in my garden and made a den underneath, It was quite a lovely afternoon. My sunglasses are from ASOS  I bought them a while ago for £20 but they are unfortunately out of stock now. I will take a photo of them soon after I have cleaned them. My dolly pumps are from Primark but are now destroyed as I wore them on a walk and got them very muddy in a stream. I have been collecting flowers again, and leave them to dry out and put them on my windows, to remember summer by. I really want to try and blog less because I am missing out on these lovely days by staying in and editing and writing blog posts. So I might post twice a week at most, and if not you can catch me posting on Lookbook or Chictopia, you could also stop by on Twitter and have a lovely chat. I also find that If I post every day my material will become tedious and I want to try and capture only the truly magical outfits. I hope you understand and I wont leave you guys don't worry.

Lots of love,

Charlotte xx
