This year has thrown so many life lessons at me and I have become stronger than I have ever felt before in my life. I feel I am in control and I know exactly who I want to be and where I want to go. Its such a remarkable feeling after being lost throughout all my teenage years. I feel grown up and ready to face anything now. No more hiding behind these fashion styles and characters on my blog, in 2014 I feel confident enough to stay true to my style and face reality. It took me quite a long time to realise the inner strength I behold as women. Growing up surrounded by males l I felt depleted in my abilities as a female. Do not feel threatened by any males or anyone and stay strong, you will endure knock downs and set backs in your confidence. It takes a while to believe in yourself, to believe those compliments and finally you'll see yourself in a whole new light. Keep thinking of that tiara you wore as a child and believe it. I've tasted what its like to be front row in a fashion show and I am ready to start meeting more bloggers in 2014 and making bigger changes in my life. Merry Christmas to you all and hope the New Year brings you lots of luck and a new Man!

"We raise girls to cater to the fragile egos of men. We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller. We tell girls, you can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful, but not too successful, otherwise you will threaten the man. Because I am female I am expected to aspire to marriage. I'm expected to make my life choices always keeping in mind that marriage is the most important. Marriage can be a source of joy and love and mutual support. But why do we teach girls to aspire to marriage and we don't teach boys the same?...

We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that boys are. We teach girls shame- close your close, cover yourself! We make them feel as though being born female they're already guilty of something. And so girls grow up to be women who cannot see they have desire. They grow up to be women who silence themselves. They grow up to be women who cannot say what they truly think. And they grow up- and this is the worst thing we do to girls- they grow up to be women who turn pretense into an art form" - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Lots of love,
